Last Saturday we got to hang with the Court Kids, we played at the park hung around the house and then headed to Raymond pool. Barrett was so much fun for the first half of pool time James and I kind of forgot there was other kids there. We just played with Barrett, it was so much fun then he was cold so we took a warm up refuel break. Then it was waterslide time James and Barrett just kept going and going. I got to check on the other kids then and got some great shots of Nolan and Greg on the diving board. Poor Jarom had a headache so he was resting under blankets and my girls and Spencer were all over the place. It wasn't busy so it was a very relaxing day playing in the water. Plus how can you not have a blast with Barrett along for the ride.

Alien Outlook
Sometimes during the summer I think the heat gets to you........I came home for lunch and this is what was waiting for me. My kids thought it would be great to make alien protective gear. I guess they then went on an adventure walk around McGill area looking for sightings. One little old man was painting his garage when my troops marched up to him inquiring about aliens. I guess his eyes went big, then he turned his head and went back to painting. ( Live a little old man and play along) Oh well I guess when you live in the ghetto, even if it is just for the month you need to make your mark and share it those around you. I love my crazy kids.

Love is all you need.
I don't want to start anything but this video hit home about how we as people see others and treat those around us. This short film made me think about how we talk to our children, how we split actions into what boys do and what is right for girls to do. What are we teaching our children by the way we talk to others. The way we treat others. Just watch it and think.

Glorious Sunday
I love Sunday....not the crazy get everyone ready part, but after church the relaxing family day that we have....I love. We aren't ones to make big fancy Sunday dinners we eat one meal for the afternoon. Then the kids kind of pick at night.
Today was a great day at church the speakers all talked of their experiences at Zion's camp. The amazing youth that we have here in the west stake and of the testimonies that were born of our dear prophet Joseph Smith. I was lucky enough to be asked to join this camp. We all dressed up as pioneers and watched reenactments from the first vision to the martyrdom of Joseph and his brother. Now I am no camper so I would have to come up with different sleeping arrangements and I left early because I could hack it but while I was there, experiencing this with our youth, I did grow and I had many changes of heart. My family is so lucky to be living now, we are so fortunate to have the living conveniences here in this day of age. We have the gospel in our lives and each other to support as we carry on in our journey. I have the best husband not to be confused with all your great husbands out there, they just aren't my James. He takes such good care of our family. My kids are awesome and I love watching and learning from them daily. I think sometimes that I am the low one on the totem pole and have the most to grow. But what a great family I have to learn and grow with.
I love my calling at church, I love the children. Today one of my old sunbeams came into church and when she saw that she was going to sit in the row as me she rushed past all my kids and sat right beside me for all of our sacrament meeting. How blessed am I to be surrounded by the children. Whom I love dearly!
I hope you all had a glorious Sunday today, and found things to be grateful for.

I'm back
Here we are starting fresh again. It has been so long since I've blogged. Do I even remember everything? The main purpose this time is to document our trip in August. But to reconnect with family and friends will be great. So it begins welcome to the lives of the Northcotts.
